1" blocks

I did the 2.5 AS in the front of my 06 2wd Screw. I called and found 1inch blocks locally at 4wheelparts. Am I going to need new Ubolts and centering pins, or is just the 1inch block all I need? They guy at 4wheel didn't know and this will be my first time. Also, he said they list 2 for my model year. 9/16 and 5/8. Which size do I need? Thanks.

The problem you're gonna have is the 04+ F150 has a dual center bolt design so you'll need a block to match this setup. There might be someone out there who makes the 1" block for the F150 but I'm not sure who it is. As far as center bolts you don't need those but you'll probably need longer u bolts.

Measure the amount of threads on the u-bolt that are below the nut that tighten them to the bottom axle plate.

If you have 1" worth of extra threads exposed then you can add a 1" block w/o changing the u-bolts. Just make sure you'll have enough threads to get 100% thread engagement on the nuts.

I also do not know of any 1" blocks that have the double pins. You might have to go with a 2" block like the ones that come stock in a 4x4.

Thanks Baja. I never thought of measuring the length of the U bolt! Some things are too simple I guess. I'll search around for blocks, if nothing else, I'll have a 2 inch cut down.

Ummm... that may be a problem too because pretty much all of the double pin bocks are hollow. At least all of the ones I've seen and I know for sure the factory 2" blocks that come on 4x4's are hollow.

I do have some double pin billet aluminum 3" blocks that came with my ProComp lift. They're aluminum, so they'd be very easy to machine. If you're interested in them PM me.
