Exclamation Fabtech / Pro Comp installation question

Hey yall..... when installing a 6in pro comp or fabtech lift on a 04 Fx4 F150 is any fabrication needed...... What im tryin to say is which kit fits the Fords better...Im talkin about no cutting what so ever....Thanks for the help

If it's a 4x4 you will have to cut the drivers side cross member brkt. No way around this you have to cut it in order for the diff to drop. It's not hard at all, took about 10 seconds. That all the cutting you will have to do, everything else just bolts on.

i say go with fabtech. and cutting that lil piece off is cake..

The only way you can cut it off in 10 seconds is if you have a plasma cutter which most people don't.

coryrf... all of the 4X4 lifts are going to require you to cut a piece of the frame off because it will be in the way of where the front driveshaft passes through once you drop the front axle. There's a crossmember between where the rear lower control arms mount and you have to cut off a section of where the crossmember mounts on the drivers side. If you don't have access to a plasma cutter, you're going to need either some type of grinder with a cutting wheel or you could probably get by with a sawzall and a short blade.

Yeah, as others have said, you can't drop the front differential without cutting the crossmember mount. You can see pics here
