body vs. suspension help

Mine dont and i bet tons of others on here who have a body lift and 35s dont rub.
also, if you took your rig offroad, and turned your tires all the way to full flex and drove over deep ruts, i can almost guarentee you will rub, especially since your using 10" wide rims with slim 4.5" backspacing (unless youve trimmed your front valance way back and your fender too). but this is not a problem for you since you dont offroad at all. so for you, the body lift is most practical. for others like me, it isnt. and if for someone who knows the difference between a body lift and suspension lift, you can look at a lifted truck and right away tell which kind of lift it has.
im not trying to be ignorant keith, just trying to explain my opinion, thats all. i think your truck looks great
to the original poster: if money is a huge issue, get a body lift. if the offroading you say you do during hunting season ever gets hairy in the least bit, i suggest saving a little longer and going with the 6" suspension lift. (i hunt a ton, and im saving for the 6")
You will rub with a 6inch suspension and 35s if you flex all the way. I know my buddy has 4inch suspension lift and a 3 inch body lift and 37s on his 79 f150 with a 351 cleveland pushin over 600hp and he gets stuck in snow drifts. If the snow drifts are big enough they will stop ya whether you have a 6inch suspension or 3inch body lift. nd yes i have experience driving in the snow. And by the way i know what a snow drift is bro.
maybe if the 79 had 8" of pure suspension instead of 4/3 he would make it through
im just kidding with you. snowdrifts that would stop a truck with 6" lifts are pretty deep dips, thats why you gotta be careful in snow when you cannot see the ground at all. the reason i explained what a snow drift was is because i mentioned it in an earlier post as a reason i wouldnt want a bl and you said "well not wanting a bl in the snow is kinda wierd" well its not kinda wierd it makes perfect sense. and i was just explaining my reasoning.
and i think when i lift it im going to get 9" wide rims with 5" of backspacing, so i doubt ill rub with the 6" fabtech.

The only reason I put the 3 inch body on my truck was because I only paid $150 for the lift and $180 for installation. Otherwise my truck would still be stock for money reasons. I would never spend $1500 to lift my body 3 inches off the frame, I'd save for a suspension myself. I got qouted $2000 for 6 inch suspension lift and install. No matter how good you try to hide the body lift most people can tell right off what type lift you have, At least I can. My 2 cents.
I agree!
The 3inch BL is the way to go if you don't have the $$ for the suspension lift and want bigger tires.
I know i would not pay a shop $500-800 to install one, thats what most places are charging.
