The parts on your lowering kit will not be covered nor anything directly affected by the lowering kit. I believe.

any kinda mod to ur engine or drivetrain can void the warranty... wat i did is mad the mods and then buy a separte warranty, through the bank... its a lil expensive but well worth it... i paid $1,500 but its goes up to 100,000 miles

So now if i make no mads to the engine or drive train just a easy drop kit like a 3/5 that will make it so that the warranty is still good on the other susp. that i dont touch?

I think that ill contact the dealer who i bought it from and ask 2 make sure that im 100% sure before i do anything.

Also, check your state laws - I'm no expert in this area but I believe to void the warranty they would have to prove your modification was a direct result of or contributed to the warranted part failure.

Once again, not 100% sure and I'm pretty positive this would vary by state. Go with BIGDAVE's suggestion and give the warranty company or Ford's Corporate office a call to track down an answer.

There is a law, but it's federal. It's called the Maggnuson/Moss Warranty Act. It basically says that they can only void the part of your truck directly affected by a modification. However, some dealers violate this law daily while others are mod friendly. Best advice is to ask YOUR dealer. If they tell you your entire warranty will be voided your best bet is to tell them you will never do business with them again and find a new dealer.

I agree with wandel.

Basically your new parts are the only thing not covered, frame, trans, engine should all still be covered

If you lower it to level it you should have no problem. If you drop it on the ground and have spark's flying then you're in trouble. The dealer I used to work for is pretty mod friendly, unless you get too radical!
