03 Supercrew Vibration

03 Supercrew w/75K miles. Noticed some front end vibration last few months. Not extreme but noticeable at all speeds. Seems like a loose front end vibration/shake. Installed Bilsteins. Love the shocks, didn't help vibration. Three months ago at inspection dealer said I would need lower ball joints soon. Could this cause the vibe? Any other possibilities? I have seen alot about 04 F-150 vibration issues. Tire balance at inspection helped vibe but now its back.

yup tie rods, and ball joints will give you vibes like that, i vote replace all 4 ball joints, and all 4 tie rod ends while you have it tworn down, and then you will be good for atleast another 100k

Thanks for the info. I had a feeling ball joints could do it. I was hoping for something cheaper. Looks like torsion bars have to come off and lower control arms need to be replaced with ball joints. Sound right?

Ball joints are press fitted into the LCA (i believe), and should be able to be replaced indepently. I guess you are saying you have the torsion bars cranked up, i wouldnt recommend leaving them cranked up, but thats your call.

Just make sure the ball joints you get have the grease fittings on them
