I personally think both of you have good looking trucks.

Move on, no one wants to read about your bickering.

hey zhoova928,

i'm trying to do exactly what you have done on your truck; crank the torsion bars and put those rancho rs5000's on. When i went to order the shocks, 4wheelonline told me rancho said that it wouldnt work with the increased height in the front. you obviously have it done, have you had any problems with your setup?

Tightening your torsion bars does limit the amount of downward travel that is in the front end. By tightening the torsion bars the upper control arm is moved closer to the bump stop on the frame rail. You will have more upward movement, but if you want about 2" of lift from tightening the torsion bars you will have about 1/2" of downward travel.

i just read this topic and WOW!? difinition of taking care of a truck varies i consider it to be keeping everything in good running condition and maybe a wax now and then. mudding (or in my case going 50 through a cornfield chasing a five dollar coyote with a `10000 dollar machine) its the chance some people want to take. if something breaks i or a bud will fix it but for the future(i know its winding down) but you guys need 2 keep ur cool this site is to have guestions answered and to compliment each other(if u think someones is a pos dont say it. just my 2 cents

I got to say everyones' truck that i've seen some sort of pic on here looks pretty **** amazing.
everyone does their own ups to their truck almost as a representation to who they are...
so dissing someones setup is really unnecessary but also really slamming that person.

but thanks guys for the answers and advice...
but i was reading up on cranking the torsions... and i saw it on here too...
it really limits the travel? is it really bad?.... i will mostly be on the street, will it affect the handling?

i would love to have dual exhaust on my 2000 f150 4x4, but the gas tank and what not really limits the available space on the driver side of the truck for duals...

It will stiffen up your ride, but it wont hurt anything.

everyone i have talked 2 says its fine but i would set it so that the front of your truck is an inch lower than the back because setting them even will create a lot of wear and tear, as for duals just run your driverside right beside your passenger side and then cross back over(this is what i did anyway) good luck

Leveling them out will increase wear and tear, but not that bad at all. If you wanna crank them all the way up, go for it. Alot of people do, just make sure your truck is level upi and down and side to side.
