Bad Lift???

alright, i have an 06 screw with a 6 inch lift. Everytime i drive by other F-150s with lifts they are bigger? My friend has a 01 F150 with a 3inch body and it sits the same height as mine?? A my brother and a buddy of mine have 07 and 05 with 6 inch lifts and they sit a little taller than mine too?? We all run 35's. I shud be sittin quite a bit higher than the 3 inch lift, and the same as the other 6 inch lifts. WHATS WRONG WITH MY LIFT!!! im positive that it is a 6 inch procomp lift. the same as the 2 other trucks i was talkin about. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!

Why is it that you don't know what brand your lift is? Look at your rear shocks and see what brand they say on them.

measure your tires...make sure they are TRUE 35" tires....some will be like 34.3" tires and they call em 35's and so forth.

Is your kit a stage 1 or 2. It is possible that there is a slight difference in height with coilover vs. the 2" spacer.

Maybe they stacked a leveling kit on top of their lift.

nope, we all have the procomp lift. All of the guys with the 6 inch lift bought them from the same dealership with the lifts already installed. I have BFG 315s. my bro has procomp somthin, not the X-Terrains tho. and the other guy has another kind of procomps. Even if the tires are a little bit different, i dont think it would add three inches on a 3 inch body lift, and about 2 on the other 6 inch lifts. Its weird right, and it pisses me off

Ever heard of the saying "the grass is always greener on the other side"? Just measure to the top of the truck and check the difference and if there is a difference then it's probably in the tires. Pretty hard to visually tell the difference but a tape measure won't lie.

You say you all have the "Procomp lift" but you only mention that the brother and friend bought theirs w/ lift from the dealership. where did you buy your truck, did it come new with a lift from the dealership or did you buy it used w/ lift

Yeah I don't really see how the suspension lift could make the difference between your 3 trucks if you all have the same lift. If you guys all have the stage 1 ProComp lift then you're all still running your stock front shocks/springs and there's no way there's a 3" difference in the ride height beteen stock trucks.

Also, in order for tires to make one truck 3" bigger than another truck would require them to be 6" larger. A truck with a 37" tire would only be 3" higher than the same truck with 31" tires. Clearly you guys don't have a 6" difference in tire size.

I think you should take KansasJoe's advice and measure the trucks. I know exactly what he means. Put a level on top of the tire and measure to the ground to get the actual tire height and put a level somewhere on the truck and compare. Or pull bumper to bumper and measure the difference... front and rear bumpers.

The ProComp lift is 6" in the front and 3" in the rear. Maybe some of the trucks have an AAL in the rear to make it more level... that will make the front slightly lower.

Three inches is a big difference. If you do indeed have a 3" difference and you're not just guessing at what looks like 3" then I'm going to guess that your truck has a different lift on it. Did you get down and look at the lift brackets and see if they're all the same?
