three shocks - which kind should I choose?

Is 4wheelonline.com or 4wheelparts.com superior to the other? I thought i read somewhere that one has significantly poor customer service, but i'd like to just confirm. Also, I'm debating between a rancho shock or a procomp shock.

Which do you guys think is better - the Pro Comp ES9000 Shocks OR Rancho RS5000 Performance Shocks OR Rancho RSX Self-Adjusting Shocks.

I probably wont be doing any hardcore off roading or even screwing around in fields or anything anytime soon. But i would like a nice, possible little bit stiff riding shock, i dont want the truck to feel like a car. Plus i'm planning on cranking the torsion bars, so i want a shock that is made to handle the little bit of extra height.

Any comments and opinions will be a great help!
Thanks guys!!

John

I dont know alot about those shocks, but i have the skyjacker hydro 7000 series shocks and they are great. Mine are on a 3inch body lift, so they can take the height, and these shocks are made for mostly road and occasionall off-road. So they will work good for what you want.

I'd say the Rancho RSX is the best out of those 3.

I'm partial to Rancho and i would say the Rancho RS5000 Performance Shocks might be the best for you. But i would definitely get either of the Rancho shocks.

ProComp ES9000's are good, but if you're not going to go offroad then they may be a little stiff for mainly highway driving.

In that price range, out of those three choices I'd choose the RSX's.

hey guys,

well it looks like the rsx's are better because they are self adjusting to any terrain as opposed to the basic rancho RS5000. the RS5000 sounds so great compared to the super old beat up ford shocks i have now, but those RSX's seem to be worth the extra money i think. Now i just need to decide...but thank you guys for your comments and help!!

I put Pro Comp ES3000s on my Ranger and it improved the overall handling of the truck significantly. It definitely made it stiffer, but in a good, firm kind of way. I liked those shocks a lot, especially for the price.

Oh, but 4wheelparts can be REALLY hit or miss for customer service.
