Level Kit Install Costs

For those that have had their leveling kits installed...how much are you paying for install with/without alignment?

So far here in the western subs for the Twins Cities, MN I have had quotes ranging from $400 - $600!!!

FYI - I am NOT technical enough to do this my self.

Thanks!

$200 with align and balance/rotate tires.Be sure they know that they dont have to disasemble the struts.I would read the directions over before you call a shop so you can give them an idea of what is involved. If they have never done one they will think its alot more work than it is.

Definately a good idea to have someone else do it. I am not very mechanically inclined and I gave it a shot. after a few hours of messing around, i gave up. My truck is an '04 and the PA winters/salt must have siezed up a few things. Ended up going to a local mechanic (friend of a friend) and he charged me $75 for the install only. He said it was a bear to do (mostly getting things loose). I ended up going with a lifetime alignment at the local firestone shop for about 180 out the door. Figured 2 or 3 alignements and it pays for itself. Will probably try to get aligned every 3k when i rotate the tires.

good luck.

If you have some decent wrenches and a big hammer it can be done by yourself. Take off nut... hit knuckle with hammer... remove 3 nuts on top... screw in LK(3 nuts)... screw in 3 nuts to set back into frame bucket...Done

You'll be proud and tell all your friends you know all about IFS.

Thank you to everyone for your responses. I agree it should be less than the dealer and others are saying. I will take your advise and bring the instructions.

Thanks again!
