How much cutting to install a fabtech

How much cutting to install a fabtech

Is there any cutting required to install the fabtech lift kit? The damn shop I'm talking to now raised their quote for my lift install. I'm thinking about just doing it myself.... Someone told me you have to do some cutting up front for this install. Any chance anyone has a copy of the instructions you could send me? Or just give me some info as to the difficulty of the install for an average guy, with tools and decent mechanical knowledge.

On the front of the truck - driver side rear lower control arm pocket so the driveshaft will fit. Not too bad with a sawzall if you have one.

Ok, sounds pretty simple.. Thanks! I've done ton's of searching and reading. Seems like everyone says do it yourself if you have a little knowhow.. I think I will save cash and do just that. Is the coilover kit any more complicated than the basic to install?

It would actually be a lot easier with the dirt logics because they come preassembled and you wouldn't have to separate the shock from the coil with a strut compressor which will save a lot of time especially if doing it yourself and for the price difference of having someone install vs doing it yourself it will probably pay for those dirt logics up front.

Thank you sir! While I'm at it any recommendations for backspacing? I'm going with Moto Metal 951s (like everyone else, I just love how they look) 20x10 with either 325/60/20 Nitto terra grips or some 35x12.50 Toyo muds... I want them to stick out a little for an agressive stance but nothing ghetto.

You don't have a choice on backspacing for the 951 in 20 x 10 it only comes with a 4.79 back space which equates to a -18 offset which is exactly what you want.

How much more lift can you get from Crankin' 'em with the coils? could I do that and add a bigger AAL to the rear to level it and put 37s? What about a spacer then blocks to get it up enough for more rubber? If so how much spacer and block would I need?
