17in. rims with 6in. fabtech

Is this a possible combination.
Or do i have to get 18s.??

What are you talking about? Rims size has nothing to do with your lift.

i was just wondering cause i was told 17s wouldn't fit.. thats all.

I think they will. I know i could go down an inch on my rim size, dont see why you couldnt.

i was told that 17s wont fit cause they will rub on the steering knuckles.

I did a quick search and the 17s will fit. You will be fine with the 17s.

Some 17's won't fit 04's and early 05's, if I recall correctly. This is due to the size of the brake calipers. Which wheel did you have in mind?

Also, you'll probably have a way better selection of tires to choose from in an 18" rather than a 17"

I know stock 18's fit, but you couldn't put much than a stock tire on or it would rub.

For the 2004+ F-150's, Fabtech recommends 315/70R17's.

I think it's safe to say that 17's will work.

The problem with 17's is that some of them do not clear the brake caliper. The inside diameter of the rim is too small to clear it.
