Lowering Issues
Lowering Issues
2007 FX2
I have a 'Groundforce' kit in my truck. The dealer did the lowering. I have 2 problems, I think.
#1 - The tires are not centered in the rear fenderwell. What would one do to fix it.
#2 - The rear is a flip kit. The rear end is lower than the front by about an inch to inch and a half. Is this the wrong kit?
Thanks for your input.

Wheels not being centered can't be fixed without some crazy custom changes. As for the lower in the back problem, also normal. Ground Force sells air shocks for the rear to level the truck (That's what I used).
Air Shocks? Would that be the same as putting air bags in?
Does the flip and shackel kit use the stock shock? If so does the air shock you mentioned make the ride stiffer? Do you have a part# for the shock?
Thanks a bunch. I will have som pics shortley. Your truck looks great.

Lumadar, what is the measurment from the bottom of the rear ferder well to the tire, front and back. I have a horrible cluck coming from ????? and I think that the rear end is set to far forward and is binding the rear axle and tranny.

yah you would have to get a custom driveshaft, and custom leaf springs to be able to re-center the rear wheels in the fender well. Mines the same way
you can kinda see it in this picture

Old post but here is my experience.
I installed a flip kit on my truck and the wheel was off center also...I had put the "axle saddle" on backwards...Once I turned it around my axle was centered.
