steering stabilizers

Whats the benifits of the steering stabilizers when do you know you need them ??

Anyone know who makes a unversal fit dual shock steering stabilzer kit for a 2004 F150 w/ a 6" superlift kit going on it. "SUPERLIFT" does not offer anything, will the truck need this option.

Larger tires weigh considerably more than the stock tires and they increase the amount of unsprung weight on your truck. When offroading your tires often get "thrown" around excessively... often harshly enough to jerk the steering wheel out of your hands. Steering stabilizers do a great job of reducing this. They also help reduce premature wear on your steering rack caused from larger tires when just driving down the street.

The Fabtech steering stabilizers should work with the Superlift kit.

Some may argue that they require more steeing effort by the driver and therefore may cause your power steering pump to work harder, but I feel the benefits outweigh the negatives.

my fabtech made my front end bearable to drive at 50mph.

also, as far as the pump issue goes. cant you rebuild the old pump to move more fluid?
