Steering wheel wobble ??

I have the body lift and leveling kit on the 2004 F150 s/c truck right now with 35" M/T. I get a bad steering wheel shake at 50 mph threw 65 mph the wheels where just rotated and balanced the shake diminished some but still there. The shop says its wheel chop ( whats that, how does that come about?)

I am about to have a 6" suspension lift done but want to correct the shake first its annoying.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it.

Tire chop is when the tires have a feathered edge on them. Usually shows up in the outer or inner edge, but can happen anywhere on the tire. Its not uncommon, although I couldnt say what would cause it on a non-stock vehicle. I see it a lot on Rangers for w/e reason. As far as what the root cause of it is, I dont know, although it happens when you dont rotate your tires. Alignment issues can also cause it. I f you have a lift kit, i'd be willing to bet your alignment may be off. I could make a guess and say a shock could cause it too, although that would tend to be limited to a single tire, or maybe have the effect only in spots on the tire, due to the fact that its not bouncing properly when hitting bumps. Hope this helps

**edit**Anyone with input on if a wheel bearing could cause a wobble? I would certianly think it could..
