Exclamation 6" Fabtech serious clearance problems

I just recently had a 6" fabtech lift installed on my 06 F150. And I am have a serious problem with my front drive shaft clearances. When I have fourwheel drive ingauged the forward U-joint on my front drive shaft rubs on my swaybar and is 'chewing' up U-joint.

Someone made a post on a similar problem recently. I believe a member advised the differential was installed too far forward and needed to be shifted back.

The sway bar drop brackets are offset to move the sway bar away from the u joints. There's a very good possibility the brackets need to be turned around. You can look at the design of the brackets and figure out pretty quick if they're on the wrong way.

I just installed my 6" fabtech lift and found that the part numbers stamped on drop brackets for the anti-sway bar were labeled backwards. I didn't notice until I saw the ends of the sway bar were almost touching the cv boots. When Installed they should be leaning away from the front of the truck. Maybe they made the same mistake on your lift.

Thanks for the help. I took it back to the shop and found out that the drop brackets were indeed mis-stamped. We swaped the brackets and it works great now. It nice to have my fourwheel drive back!
