Torn Boot!!??

I installed my AS 2.5 kit about three weeks ago and then a week later I discovered the passenger side inner cv was torn!

It is possible that I might of actually damaged the boot during the install.

Which would make me feel more comfortable to know it was my clumsiness and not the cv angle which would cause it to happen again.

Now since then the dealer has warrantied the boot but they informed me that it was a one time deal do to the angle of my CVs.

Has anyone else had this problem if so advise please?

FYI the AS 2.5 is stacked on a fabtech 6" .

I just had my driver's side cv boot replaced yesterday. A month ago the passenger side boot tore as well. The dealer replaced the first the passenger side at that time with no questions. However, yesterday they informed me that the driver side would be replaced but if it happens again it would not be covered by warrenty due to the angle. I had the AS 2.5" installed back in Feb 07. It looks like I have more than a 2.5" lift. I'm also looking for some guidence on how to correct this problem. I currenly still have the stock 20s on the truck. Will larger tires reduce the angle?

from what i have witnessed, larger tires will increase your angles a little bit. but will also put more stress on the vehicle itself.
