info.help on lower ball joints

Ok people. Need some help. Please I`ve been searching other ford threads on how to remove lower ball joints some sound easy and some hard. So maybe some one could hook me up on a how to thread. I can do the work myself. I just need to have the right tools. Need to get the job done in one day.

Would it be best to replace the whole arm with the ball joint or just the ball joint?

Been reading other threads. And it sounds like moog is perfered, by most.

Do they make a aftermarket greasable Ball joint ?

Thanks, Charlie

You need a ball joint press (you can rent them from auto zone/advance, maybe Napa) or you can buy one for about $110. And I've never used a tie rod fork, if you just give the boss's a couple of good love taps with the right sized hammer they will fall out....

And I don't believe the upper A-arms ball joint will come out, you have to but a whole new arm (only cost like $65...) The lower's press out, and press in.

moog does make greaseable lower ball joints. Just had both replaced. As far as top joints you need it purchase complete arm. Top arm w/jnt is a lot easier.
