Blown strut?
Blown strut?
I recently ordered some Rancho RS9000X shocks for my truck (2 rear shocks and 2 front struts). Got them in the mail the other day and was checking them out. Noticed one of the struts, when I compress it, it will rebound the way I think a strut should. The other strut, when I compress, it stays compressed
Is there something I am missing, or is the strut blown? I am not too knowledgeable about these things. Do I need to order a new front strut? Any help would be appreciated.

My father and my brother bought sets of those shocks for their chevy's and all 8 of the shocks they bought did that. We had a hell of a time trying to figure out why and if they were busted. Rancho say's they are supposed to be that way.
Thanks for the responses. What's strange is that when I compress both of them, I can hear the fluid inside. No noticeable leaks or anything. Both of the rear shocks stay at whatever positions I put them at. Maybe I'll give Rancho a call to see what they are "supposed" to do. If anyone else has an idea, please chime in!
They're not nitrogen charged in the way we're used to, so they shouldn't extend or do so with little force compared to a regular nitrogen charged shock.
