Did I go wrong with ordering this lift?
I just heard someone talking negative about it and i'm kind of worried now.

Lot's of guys complain about it, very few have actually run it. I loved mine for 70,000+ miles, replaced it with their 6" - love that too! Some guys say the 3" gives the CVs too much angle, I never had issues.

Yeah, that's what would worry me. Personally, I don't think it's worth the extra money for another 1/2 inch of lift over the leveling kits.

I have heard nothing but bad things from this lift. From photos i have seen, the angles up front are too severe. I agree with wandell. I dont think its worth it for just 1/2 inch of lift over the leveling kits.

I heard that they are having problems with their Platinum shocks they keep blowing out and you couldnt give me their 3 inch kit to put on my truck. Their 6 inch drop bracket kit yes the 3 inch no.

Just got off the phone with Skyjacker. They are saying yes they did have problems with this kit initially but to date there are no issues. The older kit was on adjustable struts so the problems they had is where the user would jack the adjustment all the way up and cause issues.
They are saying this kit is good....
NOT SURE?!!!!!!!!?????!!!!!!!

ee I think they might be feeding you crap, I have never hear of them being adjustable, they have always been a set 3 inch lift.

Here's the skinny, I have some friends inside SkyJacker...

The original shocks (never were adjustable) did have a problem blowing out. I blew 2 sets of the original ones. The new design shocks have never been an issue. Ride quality of either shock was always excellent, at least until the originals blew. A lot of guys have voiced opinions on the CV angle. All I can say is I never had any problems in over 70K miles. Your results may vary, but I never had any issues.

I personally see a bunch of advantage over a leveling kit, including suspension travel and shock valving. But, everyone has an opinion and they are all free here, so... my experience was great, maybe some other owners will chime in.
