Will adding the AS 2" ?????

If I add just the 2" AS to the front of my stock '05 4X2 SCREW will it look good, or will it require something on the back as well? I want to just do the front, but not if the front will wind up higher than the rear, thus reversing the whole problem of the uneven look. My measurements are 6.5 front and 8.5" rear right now I have already ordered the AS 2" and plan on installing this week.

I put a 2" AS spacer on my 2wd supercrew and ended up having to do an AAL. The front was 3/4" higher than the back, but your results may vary.

Is the AAL is an add a leaf ? What is there to installing that and about how much will it cost if I need it?

It costs about the same as the spacer. Some people have put the stock f150 4X4 blocks, u-bolts, and shocks instead of doing an AAL though. I think that would be easier than the AAL IMO. I did all my work myself and the AAL was a PITA.

Of course, I ended up not liking that setup and now I have taken all that stuff off and returned the front to stock and put 2" lowering shackles out back.

whoa ! all that add blocks n shocks sounds expensive and extensive. I found the AS AAL on ebay for $148.95 shipped. It has to be simpler than finding, buying, installing shocks and blocks from an FX4. Thanks for your input...I think I will see how it looks after the AS 2" front level.

I think you will be close to level with the 2 inch AS lift.

I had the AS 2.5" leveling kit on mine prior to lifting it and to the eye it looked perfectly level. I think if you actually got down and measured it it sat a little higher in the front, but you couldn't really tell by simply looking at it.

Hey thanks Wandell I am anxious to get it installed. I think I will like the look much better than the lean to the front stock look.

I have a 05 SCREW 2wd and added 2.5" auto spring in front and then added blocks and u bolts from a stock 4x4, and added 285/70-17 nitto terra graplers on stock rims and the truck now sits about the same as a stock 4x4, or maybe 1/2" higher in the front then a 4wd. Overall I think the rear might be 1/2" or less higher in the rear than the front.

Sounds nice, can you post a pic of your truck? I would like to see the stance and those tires too

Man that looks nice I like both looks really, but if I put the blocks on mine with just the 2" AS, I may be right back to the same lean to look except taller. I'll just have to decide which way to go once I've installed the 2" AS. Thanks for your pic...I am without a doubt a visual person and you have a great looking truck. I will post my before and after pics very soon if I am allowed to post pics being a "Junior member"
