Superlift 4.5" FIT Kit Installed

Well, I went with the Superlift kit. I like the way the truck looks, but I will like it even more with 35" tires on it. I will be ordering some sort of 35" tire on what most likely will be Helo Maxx 6s. I will get some pics out in a week or so when it is complete. The ride is great so far.

Right on. I was thinking about this kit, too. Did you have it done at 4wheelparts?

Did 4wheelparts paint your spindles before they installed them? I wish I would have had mine painted first. They started to rust pretty quick. I had to clean mine with WD-40 and dish soap and then paint them my self. I couldn't stand to see the rusted spindle. Glad to hear someone else went with superlift. There are only a couple of us on this site who have it. Can't wait to see your pics.

For you guys that have the 4.5" Superlift, what do you do about your spare tire since the Superlift website states "The factory wheels must be replaced due to the possibility of contact with outer tie-rod when the suspension is fully extended and the vehicle is in a turn. A factory wheel can only be used as a temporary spare in emergency situations. Maximum backspacing: 17 x 8" wheel - 5" backspacing; 18 x 8" & 20 x 8.5" wheel - 5.75" back spacing."

Looking at superlift but not sure if the spare tire is an issue or not....I currently have a full size 35" tire on a 17" factory wheel as a spare and some of the places I go are remote enought that I wouldn't want to get stuck out their with a flat tire and then a bent tie-rod...

Thanks

According to "blueoval breath" he uses his stock tires with no problems. Read his posts and you can find out more info.

Looks great! Can't wait to see more pics. I like those 35's? Do you have any rubbing? How do you like the lift so far?

I really like the lift. The ride is good and it sits level. I did have minimal rubbing after they fixed an alignment problem. They just trimmed the lowest plastic valence a little bit and works great. Can't tell unless you are looking hard. I was really hesitant to go with 35"s but I am really glad I did. I think I will be installing some air bags in the future to keep the back end up when towing. One of the main reasons I did not use a 6" Fabtech is they always look saggy in the rear. Easily fixable though.
