Limiting straps

I am not sure if there is already a thread on this or not, but it is a simple question.

What is an accurate way of knowing how long of a strap I need, and where does it typically attach to?

Thanx!

Any strap you add will be alll custom. There is no set lenght you need to plan how you want to mount it then measure or buy like a 18, 20 incher and make it work..

So, let me refine my question a little more. What is it that i measure the distance from, and what do I attach it to (bottom control arm maybe?) I saw a picture of somebody that did it on a newer ranger, and they had one end bolted into the frame, and the other bolted into the lower control arm.

Honestly no one here is probably going to know this. I have only seen it used once on a new body and it was a custom tab bolted with the big lower bolt for the shock to another tab welded to the either coilbucket or where the control arm mounts. I cant reamaber which one.
