vibrating

I need a bit of help with a 2001 F150 Lariat step side. I am getting a bit of highway vibration around 120 km/h (70 m/h). Its not too bad but I really get excessive vibrating when braking. The vibrating is not consistant. If the road is a bit bumpy? the vibrating during braking is more noticable...even in the sterring wheel. Tires were replaced last November and just rebalanced (they were not out much...BF Goodrich AT/KO) and that helped a little. Never had ball joints or tie rod ends done and i'm pushing about 165,000 km. To be honest, the steering in general feels a bit loose but certainly not uncontrolable!

Check for loose steering components and ball joints. Check the disks, make sure they aren't warped. Tires were rotated?
