MPG effected with leveling kit?

Did the install of your leveling kit on the 2004-2007 f150s effect your mpg any at all? I figured it might just a tad bit due to the wind drag and all.

When I had my leveling kit on I was getting about 16mpg in mixed driving and about 20 in straight highway driving.

16 and 20?! What else have you done to your truck? I didn't even get that before I went up to 33" tires.

A leveling kit won't affect your MPG's alone, but throwing on some larger tires will. I lost a couple when I switched to my 285/65/18 bfg at's and I figure it's mostly due to the load range E tires being quite a bit heavier than the stockers.

Absolutely it does. In my case with some extra information thrown in for comparison.

A. Before the leveling dyno numbers 249/315 on 87 octane performance
Troyer tune, 18.2 mpg highway, 15-16 city.
B. After the leveling dyno numbers 249/315 on 87 octane performance
Troyer tune, 17 mpg highway, 14.5-15 city.
C. After both leveling and installation of 315/70/17" tire on a 17x9" wheel,
on 87 octane performance Troyer tune 240/302, 15.5 highway, 13 city.
(rotating mass of larger tires cuts power numbers too)

There is NO way the leveling and adding tire size will NOT effect gas mileage.
These trucks have the aero-dynamics of a brick, and when you raise the front it will increase the effect of the wind on the vehicle.

When I was getting that the truck was stock with the exception of the leveling kit. It's all a matter of driving style, I really babied the throttle and was getting pretty decent gas mileage as a result. Now with thelift and 35's my mileage has went down considerably, but I just installed my Troyer tunes on Friday so we'll have to see if it comes back up some.
