2.5" Leveling Kit Vibration???

2006 FX4 with 6000 miles
I installed my 2.5 autospring last week, put on 305/65/R18 B.F.G.'s, and had an alignment. Truck looks great. Anyway, it seems as if i now get a little thump in the steering wheel when i am turning at low speeds. The truck mite have always done this, but me being paranoid with a new truck add on, i mite have just now noticed it. It is so minor, that i can hardly describe it. Pretty sure that i feel it in my steering wheel, possible brakes. Sorry guys, i know that i havent given yall much to work with, jus wondering if anyone had any similar experiences. I did go back and check that all the stuff that i worked on was tight. thanks

Tighten the sway bar endlinks where they connect to the aluminum lower control arm. Mine were loose and did about the same as far as noise that you described.

well, i am finally back around the house. anywho, i checked everything that is tied into the a-arms and it all seemed tight. any other ideas? sorry i cant describe the thump any better, but i barely notice it. i cant even tell if its in the brake pedal or the steering wheel. could the shop that aligned it have done anything to it???

Could be the tie rod boots clamp hitting on the coil overs, or the boot clamp on the steering arm itself hitting something. I had to bend both of mine down with my 6 inch Pro Comp, as they were hitting and making a noise.

On my old bronco I noticed the same thing when I went with the larger tires. The people who did mine said it was b/c of the wider tire making more ground contact. I didn't believe them so we put the stock tires back on and it went away. I was running bias ply tires on the bronco also. Mickey T's to be exact. 35x14.5

well, i took my truck to the dealer a month ago and they said everything was tight under the front end and that they couldnt notice it when they drove it. but in the last few days, the little thump is happening alot at slow speeds....like in a parking lot or something. any ideas? i checked every bolt that i messed with while installing spring spacers and they appear to be tight. could the alignment guy have left something loose???? any ideas???
