worth getting a lift?

i have a 98 f150 with 120,000 miles on it. would it be worth getting a fabtech lift and 35s? i go offroading everyday to the beach. i dont want to get a lift and have the truck blow a few months later. thanks.

the mileage is getting up there, I say don't bother, wait until you can get something new and enjoy completly, a lift and bigger tires isn't exactly going to be easy on your drive train

If you feel the truck will last and you have a few grand laying around that you can spend then go for it. Lifts aren't cheap unless you can do them yourself and even then you're still talking over $1k. Personally I wouldn't do it unless you have the extra money and yu know for sure the truck is going to last more than a coule of years.

See im tottally opposite b/c i would rather break and wear stuff out on my older truck then buy a new one and ruin it. Just lift it if you got the money. Trust me if youre thinking about it u want to do it so go ahead. People try to talk me out of lifting my truck but i want to do it so after 1 and 1/2 years of saving money by the end of summer i will have it. So do it and you will love it.

I say go for it. My truck has 126k and I'm planning on lifting and eventually throwing 38's on it. The way I see it is my next vehicle will be a car (new camaro perhaps?), so I'll keep this truck around for whenever I want to drive it. If **** breaks, I'll replace it.
