I have a '99 f150 4X4 and it started after I went over a speed bump pretty fast. Now everytime I hit any little pot hole there is a popping noise like the something is loose near both front tires, it sounds like grap. I thought I busted the shocks but I can push up and down and there is no noise. Any ideas of what it might be.

 

I'd check the ball joints and tie rod ends first.

 

I had the same issue on my 98 and found out that I broke onr of the sway arm brackets.

 

I second the sway bar end links, just happened to me. Do check the tie rods and ball joints as wandell mentioned, and check them often= good advice
