9.5" 2WD Lift w/pics

Here is my SCREW 2001 2WD with 7" spindles, and 2.5" Spacers, rear is 5" block, and 2" AAL, still sits bout 1.5" lower than the front.

Right now the tires are 315/75/16 on 16x8 wheels.

I just bought a new set of 20x10" XD Monsters and I test fit a set of 37x14.50x20 Nittos a couple days ago, fit great no rubbing anywhere. I am awaiting my bodylift to get here and after that gets installed I have decided to go with 38's should fit great.

Are you saying theres no such thing, or you saying that it will not fit?

I will prove otherwise on both counts if you want.

The tire I tried on was a 355x60x20 Nitto Terra Grappler

As per Nittos site these measure 36.77x14.17

So I would call that a 37x14.50 and actually the sticker on the tire sys this as well as the metric measurements.

Why would you lift a 2WD in the first place. I understand they're a lot cheaper than the 4x4's but the purpose of a lift is for going places other than pavement and a 4x2 kind of defeats this purpose. I install a lot of lift kits and lowering kits and I think I've installed only 1 lift kit on a 4x2 and that was on a 04+ F150 which was solely for looks which is strange to me but oh well. 4x4's go up, 4x2's go down. Gonna look strange when your lifted truck is stuck in snow or worse at a boat ramp and be prepared for peeps to ask you the same question of why would you lift a 2WD. I've never really asked before so I'm curious.

your truck looks pretty nise defently will fit 38s. percently lifting 4x2 trucks i think is find 4x2 trucks look nise lifted it doesnt matter if 4x4 or 4x2 its a truck. did you really have to lift it 7 inched to fit 315s? i fit 315/75/16 on a stock 4x4 f 150 and i do not rub have more flex then some jeeps lifted.

I think you are wrong buddy, and i'm pretty sure a lots of guys here with lifted 4x2 would agree with me, I have a 4x2 with a 6" lift and mud tires, and believe me, i've gone through mud, hills and sand with no problems at all, I think it depends on the way you drive also, i have seen 4x4s stuck before.. a 4x2 is as much fun as a 4x4 when it comes to regular offroading, which mean every once an a while, maybe 3 or 4 times a month. Now, if you live in a swamp and you need to drive through it everyday, it would be a bad idea to have a 4x2... right?

Fabtech 6" lift, 35" Xtreme MT/S.

yes i think your wrong too.but personally i think 2wds look just as good lifted..u just wont be able to go through as much as a 4x4...and some people only lift the 2wds for looks..but regardless its someone elses money so they can do whatever they want with it and you wont be driving it so why criticize the guy?i think it looks really good!

I had 6" on it with the 315's......they fit good then but not before.

This is it with 6" and the 35's

Was just wondering why and it appears the answer is for looks. Doesn't make sense to me but everyone has an opinion. I base my stuff on what a lift kit is supposed to be used for rather than looks. You answered my question, much appreciated.

I am lifting my truck (4x2) not for looks but for improved off-road performance. I have an LS rear diff, that gets me out of any sticky situation I have been involved in...and with a good set of meats I doubt I would have any problems with the driving I do. If I get stuck, then heck I get stuck, thats why you have friends right?

P.S. Love the look fo that lifted truck man...real nice!

I drive on the beach alot, and being lifted allows me to be able to run a larger wider tire, this lets me drive on the sand better.

I also happen to like the look of a lifted truck, but everything else about a 2WD truck.
