will this work??
will this work??
ok i am getting a 6 inch fabtech with front coilovers on my 06 4x2 f-150. I am wanting to crank up the coilovers 2 inches and put 36x13.50 r20 iroks, but the rims i am looking at are 20x8.5 and have a backspacing of 6.13 inches and have an offset of +35. The problem is that fabtech recommends a wheel with 5 inches of backspacing and i am wondering if these rims will work on this lift and these tires? Do i need to find new rims or do i go with a procomp lift with coilovers????

Two things
1st - Don't put a 13.5" tire on a 8.5" rim because the tires gonna be very soft in the middle and wear down on you pretty fast. You should be at least a 10" wheel
2nd - Just go with what Fabtech says. Mine are a -12 offset and there's really not that much space between the tire and knuckle as is right now and that's on 18" wheel with 35" tires which are only 13" wide. You're gonna end up buying tires and getting screwed. Granted mine's 4x4 so don't know if that is gonna make a big difference but why not just listen to Fabtech?

2nd - They will probally fit. I've seen plenty of people use other wheels and we're fine. Just like Fabtech only recommends a certain backspacing for their dual steering stabilizers, they worked fine with my Helo Maxx 6s and Rancho 4 inch. Regardless, I would still try to find a wheel with like 5-1/2" backspacing.
