06 F150 4x2 Lifting question

Hello, you will have to excuse me i am a newbie to this site and truck modifications in general to be honest. I have a 2006 F150 4x2 and was wanting to put a 2" level kit on it and put 285/70/17 on my stock wheels. My first question is there any way that the truck will actually slope from front to back because of the lower "sit" of a two wheel drive compared to a 4x4? is this tire combination possible on stock 17s? Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can fit 285's on your 4x2 with a leveling kit. If the front sits too high after you install the kit, just install a lift block out back to bring it up.

Would a body lift be better...and by the way how does all these modifications affect an extended and factory warranty..does it only void the parts that are changed and affected if problems arise from the modification? if the level is the best way to go how much does it run to put a back block in? How do you think these modifications look different on the new body style 4x4 versus the 4x2? thanks

A body lift is more expensive and harder to install than a leveling kit on the 04-07's. A lift block and new u-bolts for the rear should only be $30 to $50 (depending on size). You are correct about warranty issues and the affect of aftermarket parts. A body lift nor leveling kit should cause any problems, but the best advice is to ask YOUR dealer.
Also, the new 4x4's sit about 2 inches taller than the 4x2's.

Although mine is not an '06, I have that exact combo: 2" Leveling Kit and 285/70R17 tires.

The tires fit perfectly and there is little to no rubbing when steering. It looks fantastic. It's almost perfectly level (a little lower in the front, but BARELY). There is no sagging in the rear. I'm sure you will like it. I don't suggest a body lift on a 4x2... I was told the smooth ride would be gone forever. Here's some pics of mine for you to get an idea of what yours will look like:
