Alignment needed after new ball joint??

Hey guys:

I just put 2 new calipers and a drivers side lower ball joint on my truck. The steering wheel is still straight and everything seems fine, however ive heard from several people that i need an alignment after a ball joint replacement.
Any truth?

I certainly would get an alignment. You just tore apart and put back together, a major portion of your front suspension. There is no way it went back together in exactly the same position, especially with the fact the old ball were joints sloppy enough to replace.

i second that opinion, I replaced my ball joints on my truck and everything felt fine for awhile, until my tires started to wear unevenly. Always get an alignment when suspension work is done. No rush in your case but just make sure you get it done before to long.

I just got my truck back from the shop today. They replaced my upper ball joints/a-arms, lower ball joints and idler arm. They aligned the front end. Thank God I have an extended warranty!
