Is the Fabtech lift that hard to install?

First I take my truck into the shop to have the lift installed and they can't do the balence on the front driveshaft. So I get a appointment next week to have that done after I get back from Martinsville.

Then they call me today and say they can't find the rack and pinion bracket in the box or the bumpstomps that go on the lower control arms. The place closed for the day before I could call them back to see if they found them or what was going on. Tomorrow morning I will call them and see if they found the parts and if the lift will be done in the tomorrow. I know for a fact the back of the truck is done including the add-a-leaf. But what was aggravating about that was the fact that Fabtech didn't send shock boots with the kit. Funny they can't include a set of boots on a $1500+ lift.

But anyway are these lifts that hard to install? I know from the hassle I've went through since last Thursday that I'm glad I didn't start this project on my own. I got my fingers crossed that they found the pieces of the lift and I don't have to contact Fabtech and wait on them to be shipped here. Tomorrow will probaly be just another day in the saga that is getting my truck lifted....what a hassle after spending so much $$.

Its not that hard fabtech gives awesome instructions.

I never did balance the front driveshaft although you do have to sync the yokes up , Keyway in the slip yoke get cut out the the shaft is turned to line up the yokes

And the front drive shaft only goes back in one way, I learnt the hard way when the front yoke starts knocking on the sway-bar = rounded yoke towards the front !

I know what you mean about the boots, i made the mistake of not buying boots and here now 2 years later needing shocks in the worst way after having the shafts pitting from stonechips.
