Exclamation 6" fabtech

I will be ordering my 6" fabtech for a 2004 f150 this week. Can anyone please send me links because the local shop tried to tell me the fabtech 6" would be $3000. Also, is there anything else i need to order with the lift such as steering stabilizers? It would also be excellent is someone could post a link to the skyjacker rear leafspring.
Thanks

Do you have a 2wd or 4wd? I got mine from www.4wheelparts.com

Cost was around $1500. You will need to get a AAL to bring the rear up.

I got mine through the shop that is doing my install and my price was only $1450. I know you can get it cheaper than $3000 from 4Wheelonline http://www.4wheelonline.com/Categori...tegoryId=26021 seems to me your local shop is trying to rip you off. If you have a 2WD truck the Fabtech kits only come with 2" blocks so you can do either as djh already mentioned and order an AAL to lift the rear up or you could just order the 5" blocks which is what I did.

Which kit? There are 4 different ones.... rangine anywhere from $1,200 to almost $3,000.
there is:
Basic kit with performance shocks
Basic kit with dirt logic shocks
Dirt logic coilover kit, with performance shocks
Dirt logic coilover kit, with dirt logic shocks

I have the Dirt logic coilover kit, with performance shocks and it was almost $2,500 online @ 4wheelparts.com
The Dirt logic coilover kit, with dirt logic shocks is almost $3,000 online. So a shop could be charging that much for it. Make sure you know which you want and that they understand which one you want as well.

I agree, it all depends on what kit we are talking about. Need to make sure we are comparing apples to apples. There is a price difference in a 2wd kit vs. a 4wd kit. A lot of people have talked about getting a Fabtech 6" lift for $1200, but that is on a 2wd. Add Dirt logic coilovers then add a $1000 +/-.

Got mine for $1500 With a 5" rr block Basic kit . Was offered an upgrade for around $2000 [Basic with coil overs] but didn`t need it .I do very little off roading. Upgrade if you take your truck off road a lot. But its your choice. I`m sure you`ll get a lot of info from this thread. good luck

for rear end height you may be interested in having custom leafs made.

make sure to tell them you want them to lift the truck X amt of inch's over stock (they should know the stock arc and know how to figure out new ride height with new arc)

also remember to not allow them to make them out of thick leafs, this will cause a loss of articulation. heck you can have a total custom spring ratio made so that its soft and supple for the first few inch's then it gets stiffer to haul a load? too many options really

just remember thicker individual leafs cut down articulation.

mine is a 4wd. i just want the performance shocks. whats the differences between the crossmember system and the performance system? the reason i was asking is becuase i have found different prices on the same kits at different websites. i found this website for the cheapest i can find. http://www.offroadunlimited.com/Prod...idCategory=335
has anyone ordered from this website?
also, i've heard of people talking about steering stabilizers. do yall recommend these? and, instead of adding a leaf i just want to get the 4" skyjacker leaf springs.
