'07 Scab Softer Ride

Hi folks,

New guy here.

My wife just bought an '07 Scab flareside. Pretty cool truck in my opinion.

Here's the problem. Last vehicle she owned was an '03 full size Explorer. Its ride was softer than this new truck. She will never use the new truck for anything other than daily driving - no heavy loads. Are there "softer" suspension parts she can put on to make her new ride as (soft/smooth/cushy) as her old Explorer?

Thanks in advance.

Very simple solution, just get some new shocks. I didn't like the factory ride of mine either.

I have Rancho RS9000X adjustable shocks. You can adjust the "firmness" from 1 to 9 by simply turning a **** on the shock itself. I have mine set at 5 and the ride is much softer/smoother than stock.

Here's a link for more info:

probably due to there is no weight in the back... all trucks ride that way. im not sure if there is an application for the f150 (there prolly is) but bilstein shocks are pretty smooth.

Take a leaf out and put airbags on it to compensate for the height you'll lose

tell her it's a truck and that is how they ride. Her explorer had independent rear suspension. Her new truck will never ride like the old explorer.
