I didn't really know where to put this thread but i need help. Someone rear ended me a couple months ago. My rear bumper got smashed but thats it. Bent bumper and brackets. Well i went to looking for a used bumper at a salvage yard and i think i found one. The yard has an exact match bumper except the truck the bumper is coming off of had the trailer tow package and my truck doesn't. Will there be any difference in the bumpers (i.e. mounting location or anything). I just dont wanna buy something that want work. Thanks for all the help!

No the bumpers will mount identically wether or not you have the tow package. The hitch mounts to the frame...

 

No, they are the same... might have an extra bracket for the wiring harness, but you can either not use it, or hook it up to yours.

I did the same thing last summer, except it was the other way around... I had the tow package, and the one it came off didnt.
