3" Performance Accesories body lift kit

I recently purchased a 3" body lift kit from "Sportztrailers" on ebay for my 2006 f150. I didnt realize that their is a kit for the 2006 model as well as the kit I purchased (2004/2005 kit). Does anyone know if it will still work? Does anyone know what could be different about the 2005 vs 2006 model that they would make another kit?

any ideas or help is appreciated.

hey killer, in the morning give PA a holler. their number is 928-636-7080 and talk with Steve. He should be able to set you straight. If not, let me know and I'll see about getting ya a refund.

i just did a quick look over the install instructions and everthing, and there's quite a bit different. see what steve says and we'll go from there

instructions:

Ok, I spoke to PA and they said the only difference in the kit is the bumper brackets for the rear (need p/n's 70083-3 and 70083-4) and also a Hitch spacer (5623-5)

Who should I contact at Sportztrailers? Do you think they can either get me the parts or swap kits for the 2006 model?

I had that problem as well. I told the shop to make sure they ordered the 06 kit. I even gave them the number. Sure enough I picked up my truck and there was a 3 " gap between the bumper and tailgate. Trust me get the right kit and do it right the first time.

tell you what. if the bumper brackets are the only difference, try this. take your STOCK bumper brackets and flip them upside down. the reason i'm asking you to do this...the kit for the 06 is about $120 more (because of the bumper brackets)

Hey Josh,
Just called you over there and get your VM. Give me a call when you get a chance so we can discuss the brackets for the rear bumper.

Thanks for all of your help Josh. I will fabricate my own brackets if I have to. One way or another I will make this thing work.
One thing is for certain, this is going to take some time.. and alot of BEER!

Was this your error or did the company state it would fit the 06. If it is their error I wouldn't fabricate anything. I would get them on the horn and chew their *** and demand the correct part.
