I am getting rid of my 24's to change the look of my truck. All your lifted trucks look bad a$$...

My question is if I went with 325/60/18's on a stock wheel would it fit and how would it function with a narrow rim? Also this tire is about 33.4 inches tall. Will I be ok driving with stock 3.55 gearing? Also would this mean I need to run an AS 2.5" leveling kit as well. I do plan on lifting the truck but do not want to waste money on a cheap set. Really like the RIZE kit. But will work my way UP in time.

Already Taking a hit when I sell my 24's so please advise...

The tire is probably WAY wide for the stock rim, usually they recommend a 10" rim for a 325.

 

Yes you will need a spacer/leveling kit.

It will be fine, just don't expect to break any records on how long it'll last.

The 3.55s will be okay but it will be slower, of course. If your planning on getting a Rize lift, than just regear than.

 

then I should spend the money on after-market 18" wheels. Then regear with the lift kit?
Thumper what offset and backspacing do you think would give a nice look. I like the fact that the RIZE kit doe NOT extend the tracking of the suspension. Pro-comp kits widens the track 3 inches. Is this true? And what does the widening of the track do???

 

Also just ordered the edge programmer...would this help with the bigger tires???

I'd suggest a 9 inch wide wheel with around 5.5 inches of backspacing.

 

Dude Ive been running the same setup for about 5000 miles and everything seems great.. Although there are time at full lock that rub.. good luck

I had the specialist do the calculation and came up with 4.56's....to match what i had before (275x55R20 w/Pirelli scorpion atr's...just a tad lower on gas mileage...i tow a 7500lbs toy hauler, with a kids quad, etc. in the back of the truck...up the Coquihalla in the Rockies...later

 

Wandell...thanks for your suggestions. So 18x9 wheel with 5.5 back spacing. Planning on procomp wheels, 951's, or diamos. Leaning towards diamos. Just hope they have the backspacing available??? Also how far would wheel stick out from fenders?

 

A 9 inch wide wheel with 5.5 inches of backspacing will stick out 1.5 inches farther than the OEM wheels. Most 9 inch wide wheels have between 4.5 and 6 inches of backspacing. It just depends on the look you want. Personally, I'd want 5.5 or 6 inches of backspacing.

 

So Wandell...let me get some knowledge from you. Thanks in advance! If the number of inches of backspacing is higher the wheel will stick out farther?

Also with a AS 2.0" level kit fit 35x12.5 tire on stock 18" alloys???
