Offroad FX2

After trying to decide and decide and decide wether or not to lower my truck or to level it out with a rear drop, i have decided against it after getting stuck on my way home from work last weekend. I drive down horrid dirt/koleche roads and after 4 days of rain, my truck was no match. Seeing as how I do 70 % of my driving on these types of roads, its not logical for my to lower.

Dont ask me why i didnt buy an FX4...but...I need traction. If i raise the front with a 2.5" AS kit and maybe an AAL in the rear can i fit 33" BFG KO AT with a 20" OEM rim? similar to this:

here's mine:

I would prefer no rubbing, im not sure but 'nebraska' the truck in the first photo..they may be 35". Would this work on my poor little 2wd of should I get a 3" lift and try to fit the 35"'s. A little help here as I know nothing about lifting...

Would gears help out any? and what about FX4 coilovers?

I believe you should be able to fit a 285/70/17 or 285/65/18 with a leveling kit, which is basically a 33x11.5

Dog'em is running 34s on 20's with a 2.5" leveling kit and add-a-leaf...looks sweet too:

33s will fit no problem with the proper backspacing. Your truck would look great with a similar setup

Yeah, you can fit 33's with a 2 or 2.5 inch leveling kit using the OEM wheels.

What a beautiful truck....

I love the look of the FX2 with the S Crew... and the color is perfect IMO.

I do wish you the best of luck with your lift dillema.

bows,

Dog'em has a 4x4, which is 2 inches higher than the fx2. I have a 6" lift on my 2wd and I had to trim to fit 325/60/18s(about 33.5") with aftermarket wheels on my truck. If you want bigger tires, do what wandell said and stick with the OEM wheels.

Are FX2s supposed to be like a street racing truck or are they intended to be off-road capable two-wheel drives like Nissan's NISMO?

I was under the impression that they were off-road 4x2s....

(By the way I LOVE the painted mirror caps and door handles... it's about time they had that.)

its just a cosmetic package i belive, the handling on the 4 door truck is quite well actually, so maybe its a sport tuned suspension...as far as off road capable 2WD. HAHAHA

this was friday at the beach...damn chevy pulled me out

Haha, I like the way that your truck looks, especially the S package.
