Did Ford lower the front end of the 04 and on? My Fx4 really looks more like a 2wd compared to some of the previous trucks. I think they lowered the front bumper to line up with cars a little more to make them safer in crashes so that might my it looks lower?? Does anybody know for sure?

Also is there any reason not to remove the little black airdam mounted on the bottom of thebumper.

ya i put my truck when it was stock up to a 4x4 03 and it was about 2 in higher all the way around and if you remove that airdam you will see the holes where it was and a monting lip that its suppose to mount to

 

a friend of mine has an 04 fx4 and its lower than my 03 in the front..
