i have a 97 f150 4x4 i am looking for a 2.5" leveling kit were can i get one and what kind is the best

 

You don't need a leveling kit because your ride height is adjustable. All you have to do is increase the preload on your torsion bars and get an alignment. You can probably gain 1.5 to 2 inches of lift.

 

i cranked my torsion bars and only got 3/4 of an inch..

 

cranking my torsion bars will not cause any ill effects down the road and would buying leveling kit be better or do they make one for mine?

 

The leveling kits for 97-03 F-150 4x4's are just re-indexed torsion bar adjustment keys. They allow you to put more preload on your torsion bars than the OEM adjustment keys. This will cause severe CV and ball joint angles which leads to premature wear.

 

so what would you suggest doing to level my truck

 

Just crank up your torsion bars with the stock adjustment keys. Don't forget to get an alignment when you are finished.
