What brand of lift, what tires, what wheels? Wheels can range from $30 to $5000 or more each.

Most kit manufacturers will say absolutely not to leveling kits (most kits lift the back less than the front anyway). Again, it depends on a hundred variables, you gotta offer some information to get a good answer.

hey

Im thinking Pro Comp lift with Helo Mazzi 20" rims warpped with Nitto mud or all terrain because im a daily driver.. The mud grappler looks mean but wears like 10 dollar mule, and the all terrain tires looks like a preacher tire.. Any suggestions
The pro comp lift seems good enough for the price!!

I'm not sure where you see they level the tuck with lift kits... a 6" lift is 6 front and back unless it's otherwise noted. For example, for my truck Skyjacker makes a 1) 2.5" leveling kit 2)6" lift 3)9" lift...no one ever says anything about a difference in lift heights. Now I know of one company that DOES compensate like that, but I can't think of the name off hand. I think it was procomp that had a kit for my buddies Dodge, but I deffinetly wouldn't say most.

The SkyJacker 6" kit (I'm about to install) comes with 4" rear springs. The 3" I'm taking out was 3" front and 1.5" AALs out back. None of them "say" they are shorter out back, but check the details and the story is there.

If you want help, we need help to do so. I don't even know what Procomp lift they quoted you that price. Sounds like a good deal though. Why don't you look the prices up online and decide for yourself?

www.rockymountainsusp.com for the lift.

www.tires.com for the tires.

. . and wheels, I have no idea what wheel you're talking about. They make Helo Maxx 6s and Mazzi Hulks. Anyways, they're probally about $300 a piece.

The shop in my town quoted me a price around $5100 out the door which included a Fabtech 6" lift, 325/65r18 Nitto Terra Grapplers, 18" Helo Maxx 6 wheels and installation. Not sure which Fabtech kit though she was including in the price.

If I order everything myself and I go with the basic kit though, I can get the steering stabilizer and just have them install everything and save myself anywhere between $500 - $800.

The price you were quoted doesn't seem too bad.

I got the 6" Fabtech Kit (the one above the basic), 20" Nitto Terra Grapplers/Moto Metal Rims, installation all for around $5200.

No, it's really a "bolt-on" kit. Now some parts of it is a pain, trust me on that, but in the end I saved myself $500 bucks. Plus it was really fun for me to learn about my truck. I had never installed a lift before so it's not like I was a pro. It to me a total of 20-24 hrs, but keep in mind that was by myself, plus 99% of the time was on my back. I don't have a nice shop of lift system only jacks and jack stands. If "you" want to do it then you can.
