Don't tighten everything up to torq specs before making sure everything lines up.

The F150 is one of the easier IFS kits to install (especially with new knuckles) so you should be ok. Hardest part is cutting the driver side lower control arm pocket clean and accurate. Upper differential bolt is also a little difficult to get to and usually requires a long extension and a swivel and make note of which bolts are reused and which ones to toss. On a funny note on one of the kits I was installing a guy here was taking the old crossmember out and he had one side out and loosened the bolts on the other side and it swung down and hit him in the head so just be careful and enjoy. One more thing when you tighten the cv's do it evenly and go crossways (not in order) and use locktite when told to.

I noticed in the installation instructions for the Fabtech 6" lift it says to grind a master key way off the spine of the front driveshaft, and to rotate one end so the U joints are inline, different than stock. And that the drive shaft must be balanced by a driveline shop.

Does your kit require that?
I haven't seen this mentioned before, anyone familar with what I'm talking about, Fabtech lift owners?

Hey Kansas, that a great looking truck! You're not, by chance, related to anyone in Utah are you?

I'm not related to anyone in Utah that I'm aware of. The master spline is cut and rotated with driveshaft lengthened. Think the measurement comes out to 37" I believe. Costs about 115 out here for spline cut, lengthened, rebalanced with new tubing. That reminds me, make sure you put the sway bar drops on the correct way because they are angled and otherwise the driveshaft will hit on the sway bar

Get ready for some tight places and tight bolts/nuts. I installed my Febtech by myself. Not really that hard, just some parts of the install are a real pain in the a$$. I have some pics in gallery. Good luck and let us know if you have questions...

Don't know about the CST, but no welding required on the Fabtech kit.
