Leveling kit for 2006 SCrew 4x4

I know this topic has been discussed at some length, but I'm looking for feedback from folks with different leveling kits. I mainly just want level the ride out so that it doesn't have such a rake, and will probably go to 4 or 6" lift in a couple of years.

I'm curious if any of you have any issues with ball joints going out etc after installing the 2" or 2.5" leveling kits.

Also, do most of you keep the same tires after adding the leveling kit? I've only got about 13k miles on mine so no need to replace the tires yet. I've got the Lariat 18" wheels and (not sure the exact specs) the 32" tires.

Thanks!

I have the procomp leveling kit for about 15k miles now. Now issues of premature wear. I also upgraded wheels and tires at the same time. Ended up going with 295/75/17 Nitto's.

I havent had my 2.5" AS very long now, and im not quite sure, but i have heard that unless you do alot of offroading, you wont have problems with the balljoints.. i think eventually they will have to be replaced because of the greater angles.. just depends on how hard you drive your truck... i could be wrong though... i also upgraded wheels and tires when i leveled it.

I have around 20k miles on my BF Goodrich mud terrains with the 2' levler on my 05 and still have plenty of tread left.

Has anyone put on a leveling kit and left the stock 18" wheels and tires (ones that come with the lariat pkg)? I'd like to level it pretty soon, but don't necessarily want to have to purchase new tires right now. These only have about 14k on them.

Just do the leveling kit. You will like it. Get the new tires whenever you want.

How much to install a leveling kit

I have a 2006 Supercrew, and went to 4 Wheel Parts in Houston and they told me $475 to buy the blocks and install them. It sounds expensive, since I could buy the kit online for $200- 250. and install it myself but I figured maybe they could do it since I dont have the time, with work and school.

I've got the 2" Autospring leveling kit on mine. No issues and no rubbing. I bought new tires and put them on the stock FX4 18" rims. I also have another set of stock 18's with the stock tires on them for long road trips. I don't have any pics with that set on though. Here's one with the new tires...

The leveling kit is only about $90 shipped. I have heard of people getting them installed for about $150 to $200.
