Question Lowering Question

I am considering dropping my 2007 F-150 2wd. If I do it I would like to just do a 2/4 drop. I see 2" drop coils for the front. What is the difference between just coils or getting spindles? If I do it I would like to do so without spending a ton.

Quality coils will work great in the front. Make sure whatever brand you go with, that the manufacture has tested an 07 for fit.

I would go with coils and Bilstein shocks upfront, the factory coil and shock are inadequite at best. To get the 2/4 drop you want you would be best to go with the Ground Force 2/4 drop #9944. It makes the truck handle so much better than stock and it doesnt do the rear axel flip like other kits, it actually replaces the rear leaf springs. The kit is around $1000 but it includes front and rear springs, front Bilstein shocks and rear ground force gas shocks and the important carier bearing relocation bracket (very important)if you have a 2 piece drive shaft.

What does the flip kit do? Is that when the leaf springs are moved from below to above the axle? Does the flip kit have poor handlng?

It is when the leaf springs are moved from the top to the bottom. The problem they have is that the rear bracket can bend causing the pinion angle to change and bind the drive shaft. It will generally give you a 5 inch drop with the include rear leaf hanger.

when doing the ground force springs, can you still then add a drop shackle to the rear? Im looking to go 3/5 but still unsure about a flip kit.

Springs are for the front. If no flip kit in back, then 3" rear leafs + 2" shackle= 5" drop

Ground Force springs are 4" drop and then you can add there drop shackle to go another 1-2". Bell Tech has 3" drop rear springs and then you an go with a 2" drop shackle. The only way I know of going to a 3" front drop is either going with 1" drop coils and a 2" drop spindle from Bell Tech or go with DJM lower control arms.

Are you sure? On the 07's I believe they are the same, the rims are 22 but the suspension is the same. The 03's I know where different but not the 07's. So would it be 9933 or 9944?

wrong! All F150 Harleys since the first one was made has had some type of sport suspension which is different than a non Harley F150. PERIOD!!!!

5" rear drop with a flip kit on this 06 came out to a 7" drop
