clearing 37's

as you probably know, i have a 6inch susp. (standard pro-comp) + 3inch PA body lift on a 2WD and iam looking to clear 20inch wheels & 37inch tires. I know ill probably have rubbing issues with a 20x10 wheel w/ 4.79inches of backspacing and a 37x13.50 tire. question is, what if i went with a 20x9 wheel with 4.53 inches of backspacing with a 37x13.50 tire, would i be cool, or will i rub? better yet, how about a 20x9 wheel with 5.71 inches of backspacing, would i be cool to run the 37's? which 1 outta those 2 will i be better off with if i wanted to do the 37's? also with that wheel that is 9inches wide and has 5.71inches of backspacing, will the wheel and tire stick outta my wheel wells, or will it sit flush? iam kinda going with the look of them sticking out a little. any help is appreciated guys. i thank you once again. -Ryan

I think your best bet will be the 9 inch wide wheels with 5.71 inches of backspacing. They will stick out about 1 1/4 inches farther than your OEM wheels.

will i rub wandell? if i do, what usually needs to be trimmed? and will that 13.50 tire look stupid on a 9" wide wheel, or will it look perfectly fine? and will i have any dish on a wheel 9"s wide with 5.71 inches of backspacing?

I'm not sure about the rubbing. THe tire will fit a 9 inch wheel fine. I know what you are talking about with the "dish" of the wheel and that would be a concern of mine also. Some wheels need to have a "deep dish" look or they look bad. Other designs look fine, regardless of the amount of dish. I would want to see the exact wheel before I purchased it so I knew I would be happy with the look. Could you post a link or pic of the wheels you are considering?

I ran into the same problem as you as I said but I didnt do my research and I eneded up with a lot of rubbing, around every corner. I took it back to the shop and they are doing some free trimming. I have the fabtech so it is an option for me to do the spacer on top, do you have the basic procomp? if so I dont think it is ok to stack spacers. I am a student so I am doing the trimming now as I save up for the spacers and aals.

its actually between those and the moto metal 954's, i want to run the 37" kuhmo m/t kl71 but since i will more than likely have to run a 35" tire im gunna go with the mud grappler, because they dont make a 35" tire in the kuhmo for a 20" wheel.

I think those KMC's would look fine with 5.7 inches of backspacing. They are a sharp wheel.
