1.5 inch leveling kit 0r 2.5???help

i am going to be on putting a ranch hand grill guard on the front of my regular cab f-150 was wondering if i should put a 2.5 inch spacers or 1.5??? i know the grill will weigh the front down a bit...my truck alrede has a 3 inch body lift on it and is like an inch lower in the front max.. and do you have to put aftermarket control arms on with this levelin kit??? itd be cheaper to just do the 1.5

On the 97-03's, I believe 2 inches is as tall as you can go with spacers or coils without new upper control arms.

I'm posting for the first time, but have enjoyed viewing this forum for a few years now.

I have the same question as Pkent had. Has anyone have any opinons on 2" or 2.5" spacers with the grill guard?

If I opt for the 2.5" spacer, with the weight of the grill guard, cause excessive pressure to the joints?

Welcome to the site. I'd go with the 2.5 inch kit. I don't think you will have any excessive wear because of the grill guard.
