I used a lowering shackle. It gives you 1 to 3 inch adjustment. Check my gallery

I used Western Chassis and got them from a local shop for $80...installed them myself...took about an hour...

Ground Force makes a good kit as well...

Thats EXACTLY what Im looking for...I dont want to lower it too much, but I want it to sit flush on the 24's....Man its gonna fill that gap and make my rims actually look HUGE like they really are....without the drop the rims look like 22's.....I spent too much money to be having people confused on what size they are....plus I refuse to put that dub 24 symbol on my truck....as far as putting the kit on myself, I have no jacks or stands....so my best bet is probably to have them put it on at the auto accessories store huh? I also have no experience with suspension and wouldn't even know where to begin....tell me more

Does lowering the truck by this method effect the ride in anyway ?
I would also like to lower just the rear of the truck to level things out, and make it easier to get my motorcycles in the back.

I am all about getting the back of my truck down, but I dont wanna effect the smooth ride what so ever...

You won't affect it whatsoever.

Has a better look though.

If you want to do it, the shackles are the way to go. Around $100 or less will do it.

I have the Ground Force 2" kit that includes the alignment wedges. I had it installed at a shop. Kit was $98 plus $40 installation. You can order it online for about $70 to $80. You want the wedges so there will be no vibration.

Yep. And most times this can be something you should be able to do yourself if you're good with tools.

If you want some, I have mine, which I decided against using now.

Let me know.

BlueJay, Where did you pick up your kit from ?
By chance would you have the part # of the kit you have ?
I came across this on Summit's website (seems as if it would work)
http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

I want to do everything I can to insure the truck rides the same as before I lowered it..

I bought the kit at the shop where it was installed. It was the same as that one, the 91200. I had looked it up online, was going to order it, then decided to have it done instead of doing it myself.

not really, until everything settles out, it feels a little bit looser, and you will loose some payload/tonge weight capabilities
