ok so i went to this local shop called STS Offroad today and here's what they reccomended:

6" Fabtech lift
35" Maxxis Bighorn tires
16" Mickey Thompson "look-alikes", i think they're Eagle Alloys...i'm not positive though.

How high will my truck sit w/ the 6" Lift and the 35's? how much can i gain from the 35s?

and also what do you guys think of these????? thanks

First off, I am not an expert here. But, going from a stock tire size to a 35" will give you about an extra 3" or so in tire height.

Not sure if a 6" lift gives you exactly 6". I am sure some others folks will chime in here to help you out...Just my .02 cents worth

As far as the setup, it sounds like it will look good...

I agree with their recommendation other than the Maxis tires. I think a BFG, Toyo or Nitto would be a better choice. The 6 inch Fabtech will lift your front 6 inches and the rear 3 or 4 inches.

when i asked about the Nitto Mud Grapplers their response was, "we wont sell you that tire." not literally, but they said its aweful on the road, and it wears down super quick. then i asked about the Toyo Open Country M/T's, and their response was, "Most expensive mud terrain on the market! great tire though!!" so i asked what they reccomended and they said the Maxxis Bighorns......they are fairly cheap too. I'm on a budget too, so i like the price of them.

Yeah, I was referring to the Terra Grapplers. The Mud Grapplers are not very impressive.

well just to add my 2 cents i have a 6 in fabtech with 37 in mud grapplers and i love them they do wear fast but any true mud tire will I have 25k on them now and plan on putting about 5k more on them before i buy a new set I think they are a great tire if they weren't you wouldn't see them all over the place. Where i live about 70 percent of the lifted 4x4's have grapplers on them. and as far as how they preform on the highway well lets just say Mine have seen 105mph and i have never had a problem. but any tire you get will look good once you put that lift on so good luck

those 37s dont rub with only a 6 inch lift? I've seen members on here with 8" and say they still have some rubbing...
