Differences

Hey Guys...

I just got my very first f150 at the beginning of the New Year. Since, then I've been doing alot of price scanning and trying to get as much info as possible to lift my truck.

A little about my truck.

2005 Ford f150
I'm guessing extended cab (suicide doors?)
2wd
4.6L v8

What my question is... What is the difference between Level kits, Body lift kits and suspension lift kits? Which one would be best for lifting on a low budget?

What I want to do is... At least lift my truck between 3 and 4 inches. Of course, throw some tires on there to complete the "lifted" look. How much would I be looking at spending (California)? Any advice on set ups would also be helpful. Thank Alot!

Thanks in advance for all the help. I'm sorry if this is a repetitive question, but the search feature is a lil more complicated that others that I have tried.

A leveling kit lifts the front of the truck up to 2.5 inches, so it sits level. Most are around $100. A body lift lifts the body off the frame 3 inches and comes with brackets to lift the bumpers and line everything else up. The Performance Accessories body lift kit is a little over $200 I believe. And of course a full suspension kit lifts the suspension. I've seen members posts that said they bought kits for as low as $1100 but most retail for around $1500.
