Ball Joints

I have a 2005 f-150 and i've got the 4" rancho at my house waiting to be put on. I've been running a 2" autospring for about 15000 miles and haven't had any problems but if my ball joints are bad am i going to be able to get my truck back on the road (at least to the shop) if the ball joints are shot?

Also i've jacked up the front tires and check for play in the wheel and found nothing. Could i be without my truck until i get some new UCA's?

If you are saying the ball joints do not seem to be shot you should be fine. If you are concerned you could always take it in somewhere and have them check it for you for almost nothing. That would at least put your concerns to bed and you could get the lift installed with peace of mind. I ran the autospring spacer for a bit before I put the Rancho 4" lift on and have not any trouble. You will be really happy with that setup-makes the truck look so much better!
